Born from the bitter cold winds that howl throughout Chicago, Illinois, Bloodletter was formed to help spread melodic, heavy and fast thrash metal within the city. The band spent nearly a year crafting, writing, recording and mixing their debut LP and wanted to ensure that they brought the heaviest, most melodic and most aggressive release to date.

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. I've gotten myself into GR by first getting their last album, then decided to give this one a go too. Atoms divide, life decays, seems we are into nuclear explosions here, that is how GR feels, a powerful and fast blitz and stormy riffs and groovy hardcorish - thrashy blasts. Highly recommended for all thrash lovers out there. Toxic Holocaust does come in mind, true that, Wraith, Municipal Waste fans should love this ! sachavonkarl74
